How much does it cost?
My wedding packages start at $3,500, for eight hours of coverage. For a more detailed listing of packages and what I offer, please reach out.
How long does it take to deliver the wedding?
Depending on the time of the year, if it’s busy or quiet, it will usually take me up to six weeks to return your wedding photos. I will always send you a sneak peek of the photos a few days after your wedding.
How does the day run?
Most importantly, it’s your day – and will run however you want it to. For me, covering each part of the day – from the morning preparations through to the dance floor – always helps tell the story the best, and is what I always recommend. We can discuss this in much more depth, and I’m always able to give advice on timings and run sheets.
What happens if I’m awkward in front of the camera?
If you’re awkward in front of the camera, you’re like 99% of the world, and something that’s far more common than you’d think. For the majority of the day, I will be out of the way capturing candid moments, and hopefully you won’t even notice I’m there. For anything “to the camera”, any guidance or directions will focused on you two interacting with each other, and making you both more comfortable.
How many photos will we get?
There’s never a set in stone answer, every story is captured in its own unique way. Having said that, I will deliver approximately 75 images an hour, however for larger weddings, multiple locations or tonnes of styling, I often deliver more.
What approach do you take on the day?
I focus on documenting the day as naturally as possible. For me, it’s about capturing the candid frames and observing like a “fly on the wall”. I don’t like awkward poses or forced staging, so any suggestions will just be about finding the most flattering light and allowing you two to share a moment with each other.
You’re based in Sydney, but my wedding is elsewhere!
I’m lucky enough to call Sydney home, however, I love travelling. I am available all around Australia, and the world. Reach out via my enquiry page and we can discuss travel options.
Are we able to meet you beforehand?
Of course – I offer a ‘no commitment’ meeting with every couple who enquires with me. I love an excuse to catch up for coffee, to discuss your vision and plans for the day and to offer any advice I can, and work out if we’d be a good fit.
Do you provide RAW files?
Unfortunately not. The files are very large, and require specific software to open them, and not viewable on your phone, either. I’d much rather provide you with beautiful photos than the dull, unedited RAW file anyway.
Planning a wedding can be overwhelming… Can you help?
Unless you’re experienced in planning, styling, logistics and coordinating events – wedding planning can be a daunting experience. Luckily, through virtue of doing it every week, I get to work with some of the best of just about everything in the business, and can definitely point you in the right direction to find vendors.
I also find that the more questions I can answer, and as much input as I can give around timings and planning always results in the smoothest weddings, so I’d encourage any couple to chat with me as much as possible about planning their big day.
We are keen to do a pre-wedding shoot, do you offer that?
I definitely do, please reach out via the contact page to book one. I find pre-wedding shoots can help couples who believe they’re particularly uncomfortable in front of the camera ease into what it’s like for the day itself. I also think it’s a beautiful set of memories and moments, which I don’t think we can ever have too many of.
Why two photographers?
A few reasons why I suggest two photographers include:
i) Simultaneous coverage in the morning, so everyone can get ready at the same time – and not make the groom get ready hours earlier and sit around in his suit waiting.
ii) Multiple eyes on multiple things; it makes it near impossible to miss spontaneous moments, and gives multiple perspectives – such as the bride walking down the aisle from the front and the back, as well as the groom’s reaction!
iii) I have someone to cover me while I sneak a bit of your wedding cake in.
In the sad event that you find yourself having to postpone or cancel your wedding, please try to reach out as soon as possible. Any deposits paid are non-refundable, as it guarantees that I hold the date exclusively for your wedding, and will turn down other enquiries or paid work for the date. If you’re looking to move the date, I will offer as much accommodation as possible, so reach out.
